  We traveled from Mount Joy, Pa (less than 3 hours by car) to eat at your awesome restaurant with another couple. The food is superb from appetizers, main course to desserts!!!!!!!! The waitresses are very knowledgeable about suggesting different items to try. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience for all of us. We look forward to our next visit when we can try more German specialties along with fish dishes. The quality, price and atmosphere are well worth the trip.

  Overrated. German Kitschy. Good food but severely overpriced. Decent cocktails. Decent service. I would have given 4 stars but the ugly hostess barely acknowledged our presence and didn't even look in our direction. I guess she couldn't be bothered to make a good first impression.

  Grand old place.Charming with a fireplace and hunting trappings.Good beer and wine selections with a good price structure.Far from home but would go again.

  I've been to the Black Forest Inn a few times, and sorry to say that it doesn't taste anything like real German food. I'm kind of shocked considering the lineage of the Chefs. I suppose if you've never really had authentic good German food, you wouldn't know any better, which is probably the case of most customers that visit here. I've gone there for the last time. I went there for a work party and although it was decent, it just tasted like they were trying to Americanize the food, which German food shouldn't need any changes to it. I know it's a hike, but would recommend Zum Schneider in NYC if you want to taste what real German food tastes like. I would only go to Black Forest Inn maybe for the Beer, since your really can't go wrong with that.
